Quality Does Matter
There are currently many different companies making and selling Powersports batteries in the world today. While most are happy to just make the sale, when it comes to quality and matching the OEM requirements, they are often left wanting. A few years before the founding of Scorpion Battery, it was overheard in a teleconference with a battery manufacturer having Quality Control issues that “No one wakes up in the morning saying that today 'I will make junk batteries'”. While this statement is intuitively correct, often manufacturers choose to take shortcuts that end up sacrificing quality in the name of dollars. Scorpion Battery is dedicated to producing only quality, and we strive hard to do that every day.
Batteries Are Made From Lead, Not Gold
Scorpion Battery realizes that the price of batteries has taken a toll on the average consumer's pocketbook. As the price of raw lead has dramatically risen over the past few years, manufacturers have been increasing their price structure to reflect this. Scorpion, on the other hand, has relied on mass production and a solid reputation to offset this rise in price. Scorpion Batteries are manufactured by one of the largest battery manufacturers in the world, producing more batteries in a single day than most of our competition do in a month. We now offer what we believe is the absolute best cost vs. quality structure on the planet. Sure, if you shop hard, you may find batteries that are less costly than Scorpion, but are you really giving your customers what they need? At Scorpion we believe that a happy customer is a repeat customer. Repeat customers and positive word of mouth are what carries the day.

If you are currently in the Powersports battery market, you already know that all other Powersports battery manufacturers do not offer any real warranty on their batteries. Instead they 'deduct' a small percentage off the bill in lieu of any warranty, and leave the reseller/distributor to cover any battery failures. This is what we call the 'ostrich warranty', which has created a twofold problem. First, it insulates the manufacturer from any knowledge of recurring problems with their batteries. After all, why would a dealer bother reporting any failures, if there is no recourse to have that failure covered under warranty? Second, this leaves the average dealer/distributor having to cover the cost of the failure, and inevitably leads to higher prices for the end consumer. Kind of like talking to the hand, because the face does not care.
Scorpion Battery tackles this issue head on. We simply stand behind our stuff. Scorpion Batteries come with a 6-month, no-hassle warranty, which means that if the battery fails in the first 6 months, we replace it at our expense. It's that simple. With this real warranty we can know when there is a problem so we can fix it, and we foot the bill for our error. Sounds fair, doesn't it?
