Buell Motorcycle
Buell Motorcycle Company was an American manufacturer founded by ex Harley Davidson engineer Erik Buell. Founded as an independent company in 1983 Buell produced its first bike the RW750. In the following years Buell became known for its innovative if unconventional design including Torsional Load front brake fuel in frame and oil tank in swingarm. Built around the famous HD V-twin engine eventually Buell was bought out by Harley and became a wholly owned subsidiary of HD in 2003. It was then was discontinued in 2009 after building a total of 136 923 bikes.
