Can Am Motorcycle
Can-Am is the motorcycle producing subsidiary of Bombardier (BRP) a Canadian owned company. Founded in 1973 Can-Am quickly became known for its high horsepower motorcycles immediately winning Gold Silver and Bronze medals at the 1974 ISDE event and quickly following with a 1st 2nd and 3rd sweep of the US motocross National Championship. As BRP changed focus over the next decade Can-Am lost priority and was eventually discontinued in 1987. In 2006 Bombardier Recreational Products reintroduced the Can-Am brand with its all-terrain vehicles (ATV). In 2007 the Can-Am brand was also used to introduce the Can-Am Spyder a new three-wheeled roadster.
